Developing a customized solution for Dynamics 365 Business Central

Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP, helps organizations to coordinate the flow of data between a company’s business processes, providing a single source of truth and streamlining operations across the enterprise. To ensure business agility, it is built to adapt to ones needs and grow with the organization. That’s where the rubber meets the road, over 30% of ERP project implementations end up failing and this is due to factors such as inadequate planning, lack of top management support, poor business process alignment, inadequate training, resistance from employees, and sometimes, technological issues. All factors held constant, as developers, users and implementers we play a huge role in the project life cycle. Most technological issues are our responsibility. How can we make ERP implementations a smooth and enjoyable journey? What kind of skillset is required of us to develop a solution that users will enjoy using? What should I focus on for me to become a Dynamics 365 Business Central consultant? Is Business Central a marketable product? Join me in this session as we slice and dice the development techniques and explore the different tools that will make one develop proper solutions that address unique business requirements, streamline processes, and enhance overall productivity.

A gentle introduction to Deep Learning

Artificial intelligence relies on a few mathematical principles that can seem scary when you look at them from a distance. But if you take a step by step approach, you will find that the math involved is not too complex and that any software developer can understand the basics. In this session, Laurent Bugnion, a Cloud Advocate working with Microsoft will share his recent journey discovering the basics of Deep Learning. We will not make data scientists out of you, but we will enable you to understand what people talk about when they mention artificial intelligence. We will see how Azure can help you with tools, services and machines. Last but not least, we will also have a discussion about the ethics of AI and what we should be careful about.

Fortunately, cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure are making it possible for a wider range of users to create and deploy LLMs with ease. In this talk, we will explore how Azure AI Studio suite simplifies the entire process of working with LLMs. We will discuss how to access pre-trained models, customize them to your specific needs, and deploy them directly within your infrastructure. In addition, we will look at practical examples of open-source models, such as Meta’s model, as well as Llama 2, and OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 models. Additional notes Below are the key takeaways atendees can expect to walk away with after this session: 1. Gain insight into the latest innovations in large language model development and deployment, and how cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure are making these technologies more accessible to a wider range of users. 2. Learn how to access pre-trained models, customize them to specific requirements, and deploy them seamlessly within your infrastructure while exposing APIs for further consumption. 3. Understand how to use popular open-source models like Meta’s model, Llama 2, and OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 models in practical examples, and gain the knowledge you need to confidently create and deploy your own LLMs with ease.

Privacy-Preserving Framework for collaborative machine Learning on sensitive Data

Deep learning Algorithms are data-hungry, the more data they have the more they are able to generalize really well on unseen data. Even though, efforts have been put on gathering and publishing huge datasets for unsensitive data to achieve the aforementioned effect, the same cannot be done for sensitive data for obvious reasons. This has made development of large robust models in areas with sensitive data like finance, healthcare limited to large organizations with lots of data. The alternative, sharing of data across healthcare/financial practitioners, could help with development of capable models due to the variety of rich data that they possess, however, data security and privacy concerns arise . In my session I intend to showcase a framework for sharing sensitive information across organizations for collaborative training of one deep learning model in a privacy preserving way using autoencoding and differential privacy.
